TNA political strategist Moses Kuria has clinched the Gatundu South legislative seat after getting an automaticdrive to the housedue to his sole opponent Kamere’s withdrawal from the hotly contested battle. In a press conference, Kamere withdrew from the battle for unknown reasons, but rumour has it that he was blackmailed to withdraw from the contest. For a decade now sinceGideon Moi’s withdrawal in 2002, we now have a direct entry MP. Kuria now becomes the “people’s” representative despite the pending case on hate speech charges against him. The case is set to be heard on September 2, 2014.
