Safaricom’s Security Deal Succumbs



The National Assembly has today dismissed a deal that most Kenyans thought could be a solution to the city’s major security threats. This comes hours after the interior cabinet secretary, while reacting to member’s concerns had said publicly that the tendering process was properly handled.
Sources have hinted that the members revoked the contract citing irregularities in the 14.9 billion security project that was to be developed by a telecommunication company.
